While we wait for signs of life from our beloved Mighty Muggs, the visual guide is going to be tweaked a bit. You will now find a separate tab for exclusive Mighty Muggs. This, I believe will simplify things a little bit as it streamlines the process.

Mighty Muggs Exclusive To Toys R Us

New information is starting to trickle out of New York today and here's one of the more significant pieces of information. In a move that will no doubt stir some debate ALL current Mighty Muggs brands which includes Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe, and Marvel will be exclusive to one retailer come this fall, the retailer? Toys R Us. Stay tuned for more.

Transformers Mighty Muggs Have Rolled Into Retail

Loungers are starting to report in our forums that wave one of the highly anticipated Transformers Muggs have been found in the lower U.S. at K-mart and TRU's. Looks like it's time Roll Out (snicker) to your nearest retailer and start hunting Muggs! Join in on the discussion here

Transformers Mighty Muggs Hi Rez images

Hi-rez images of Transformers Mighty Muggs Grimlock and Starscream have been released for your viewing pleasure. Note that the wing attachments on Starscream are on upsidedown. Look for both Starscream and Grimlock to be released in wave 2 along with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee later this Spring.

NYCC 2009 Marvel Mighty Muggs Update

New York Comic Con 2009 is well under way on New York city today and already we have images of four new Marvel Mighty Muggs thanks to our good friends over at Toyark.com! Here's a look at Green Goblin, Spiderman with removable cloth mask!, Iceman and Magneto. According to the images below Magneto and Iceman are designated Target exclusives.

A huge thank you to forum member Jal4u2c who brings us the first image of Star Wars Mighty Muggs Biker Scout from ROTJ! Thanks to the information that accompanied the image we now know that just like wave 8 before it, wave 9 will yet again be another "internet" exclusive wave not availalbe at "big box" stores. Also of note, the article also states that the other three Mighty Muggs in the wave will be "never before Mugged" characters, meaning a wave of entirely new characters. Look for the debute of the entire wave at Entertainmentearth.com on February 25th. Keep it locked here at MML for further updates!

Mighty Muggs Lounge sponsor Entertainment Earth has posted a new pre-order for Star Wars Mighty Muggs wave 8 which includes Qui-gon, Royal Gaurd, Wiicket and a Wampa. What's interesting about the pre-order though is that the wave is labeled as a "shared exclusive" with as of yet unknown retailer. Seems Mighty Muggs are on an exclusive roll, first Target now this. Interesting.

First Look: Jazz and Shoxkwave Transformers Mighty Muggs!

Here's a first look at Transformers Mighty Muggs Jazz and Shockwave! and although we are thrilled to see them they don't come without a bit of controversy. This image along with a preorder for wave three was posted on Entertainmentearth.com earlier today and then promptly taken down and labeled as "canceled by manufacturer" Not to worry though as the Mighty Muggs Lounge team has got you covered and we are gathering information as we speak. Look for an update soon. In the meantime let's all marvel at these two amazing Mighty Muggs!

Star Wars Mighty Muggs wave 8 spotted at Retail

One of our forums member has found Snowtrooper, Biggs Darklighter, Bossk, and Shocktrooper at a Target in Oregon. Interesting that the entire wave inluding a C3PO are all sporting a "only at Target" sticker. Stay tuned for an update soon regarding the exclusive situation, so stay tuned! First Look : G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Serpentor

Here's an update to our report from yesterday from the pages of Toyfare magazine #139 and as promised, here's your first look at G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Serpentor!

There's a great article in magazine covering Hasbro's plan for G.I. Joe for 2009 with Hasbro's global brand marketing director Michael Ritchie and here are some interesting tidbits concerning Mighty Muggs:

Toyfare: What can we expect from Mighty Muggs this year?

Ritchie: For Mighty Muggs we are going to be launching in the Springtime as we've announced , and we have plans to do most of the major characters that fans will want to collect.

Toyfare: Does the Joe team work on the Joe Mighty Muggs or is there a separate team at Hasbro that works on these styles across all licenses?

Ritchie: It's sort of a collaboration within Hasbro. Our Joe team works on everything that's Joe whether it's Mighty Muggs or Combat Heroes or puzzles or games in different isles of the store. And then you have another team who focuses on Mighty Muggs just to make sure there is consistency across the brand. Between the marketers and the designers who work on the Mighty Muggs brand as well the G.I. Joe brand we work together to make sure we've got that right expression.

Tonight we update the Mighty Muggs Lounge visual guides with four new entries. The G.I. Joe visual guide has been updated with wave two cards for Destro and the Baroness with more cards coming soon. The Indiana Jones visual guide also gets an update with two new cards for Sallah and Short round who are entertainmentearth.com online exclusives and sadly unless some dramatic announcement is made these will be the final two entries for this line.
